Louis A. DiBitonto

After several years with the architectural firm of Kenneth Cameron Miller, Lou joined Joseph M. Meyerhoff Corporation as Director of Architectural Planning for the Residential Division. This firm evolved into Monumental Properties, Inc. There Lou was responsible for the planning and development for many apartment complexes, several single housing communities and business office parks in seven states. Later, Lou was transferred to the shopping center division as a project developer where he was responsible for the development of many regional malls. As part of this development group, Lou was involved in the development of over thirty retail developments, including malls, retail strips, and freestanding retail properties. After the sale of Monumental Properties, Inc., Lou joined Mall Management Associates, Inc. as Vice President of Shopping Center Development, overseeing such notable projects as Dadeland Mall in Miami Florida, Blue Ridge Mall in Kansas City, Missouri and Six Flags Mall in Arlington, Texas.

Prior to joining Trout Development, Lou was a principal of Westwood Development Company, a Carroll County based single-family and multi-family residential developer. There Lou served as Director of Design and Development.

Lou joined Trout, Segall & Doyle Development Company in 1999. Having more than forty years experience in every facet of commercial, residential and retail property development, as Director of Development, he oversaw all aspects of development for big box, power and grocery anchored centers in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania. His most recent projects are Dover Crossing, Swann Cove, Fenwick Plaza, Selbyville Towne Center in Delaware and Winchester Station, Shoppes at Tevis in Virginia.
