Arthur W. Putzel
Arthur W. Putzel, CPA, is principal of Trout Management and principal and licensed broker of Trout Daniel & Associates.
Art has spent over twenty-five years working in numerous capacities in commercial real estate brokerage, development and management. Prior to his work with TD&A since its inception, Art was vice president and controller of the Trout, Segall & Doyle companies for twenty years.
He is the CFO and supervises all accounting functions of both the management and brokerage companies, including accounting for all third-party management projects. He is the licensed broker in six jurisdictions (DC, DE, MD, PA, VA, WV), and supervises all of TD&A’s brokerage activities. His development activities focus on conducting project financial analyses and arranging for financing.
Formerly the deputy director for Economic Development in Baltimore County, Art spent four years negotiating and administering contracts for a major Baltimore defense contractor. Art has been a certified public accountant since 1987. He is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, a member of ICSC, a board member of the Pikesville Chamber of Commerce and is past president of the Pikesville-Greenspring Community Coalition, Inc., an umbrella organization of 18 community groups. Furthermore, Art is a board member for the American Red Cross Greater Chesapeake & Potomac Region and for the Itineris Foundation, an organization that provides life and career support services for adults on the autism spectrum.
Art’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Urban Planning from Johns Hopkins University, as well as further coursework in accounting at Loyola College of Maryland.
Arthur’s interests include woodworking, home improvement and reading.
