A .57 acre commercial property including a 4,200 square foot building at 7411 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie has sold to Landmark Properties of Ritchie Highway, LLC / Ameri-Star Homes for $655,000. The property will serve as the corporate offices of Ameri-Star Homes.

Matthew S. Melnick, Associate with Trout Daniel, and Arthur Putzel, Principal with Trout Daniel, represented the owner, ABGLO Associates. Mike Cadogan of Century 21 Don Gurney represented the buyer.

Ameri-Star expects to raze the existing building and construct new office space. They expect to open for the new office by early 2011.

Ameri-Star Homes is a regional homebuilder serving Anne Arundel County and central Maryland. Its new corporate office location will house at least 10 employees and offer room for future expansion. The new location offers access to major interstates including, I-97, I-695 and I-895.

The building was originally built in the late 1960's as a Rustler steakhouse, and had been owned by the same partnership since, through several iterations as various restaurants.
