Trout Daniel & Associates Executes Lease for New Business Concept in Owings Mills
BALTIMORE – Trout Daniel & Associates, a full-service commercial real estate company, announced a five-year lease agreement for Standard Auto Parts’ fifth location at 49 New Plant Court in Owings Mills, Md. The 11,000 square-foot building was previously owned by Douron, Inc., as a storage facility.
First opened by Jack Sutton in 1945, Standard Auto Parts third-generation owner Ron Sutton seeks to capitalize on the newest warehouse’s central location along the Route 795/Reisterstown Road corridor.
The Owings Mills Standard Auto will operate as a distribution warehouse that features a vast inventory of auto parts, allowing them to provide delivery services to the 600 service centers in the location’s sub-market, equaling about one third of the overall customer network Standard Auto supplies to within the Baltimore Metro area. Utilizing a business model founded on high inventory supply and low overhead costs, Standard Auto provides competitive pricing, with all deliveries completed in a maximum of 30 minutes.

Completing the transaction in less than six months, the opening of the fifth Standard Auto resulted in 14 new employment opportunities following minor construction to the building to create an 800 square-foot waiting lounge for delivery drivers.
