Sale of Baltimore’s Legendary 8 X 10 Settles

TD&A is proud to announce that the intimate live music venue whose stage has seen the likes of music legends Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billy Joel, Dave Matthews and Chuck Berry has been sold. Long time property owner Dave Rather along with club operators Brian Shupe and Abigail Janssens have collaborated to sell the property and business, respectively to Pennsylvania-based Rising Sun Presents, the live music entertainment group headed up by Chris Perella.

Rather will remain in the deal, and along with Rising Sun Presents and Baltimore’s own singer-songwriter Cris Jacobs, the new partnership will deliver an 8 X 10 revival for live music goers from around the region. Interior renovations and upgrades will be completed by October. Ownership will be announcing the Grand reopening soon with many national touring acts scheduled to play the rejuvenated venue.

The combined sale price for the business and property has not been disclosed.

Per Cris Jacobs, “I’m proud to say that I’ve most likely played on the 8 X 10 stage more than anyone. I’ve seen how special that club is to myself and the Baltimore music community. To be able to carry on its legacy and partner up with such a great team is a true honor.“

The property was exclusively listed, marketed and brokered by Steven Cornblatt,  Principal, and Coleman Tirone, Associate with TD&A. Cornblatt and Tirone can be reached at (410) 435-4004 or via email at scornblatt@troutdaniel.com and ctirone@troutdaniel.com.
